Is it possible to get cable if my antenna hooks on the cable’s wire??
Is your keyboard broke? Why leave a comment if people need a code book to know what the F you are talking about?

thats kool
Looks ugly – put it somewhere your guests can’t see it.
I used to think you had to buy a decent antenna like I did from Radio Shack for $50…Never got a stable channel..Thank goodness for smart people and the internet…I assembled one similar to the one in the video…This SHIT works!!!!!!!
Very interesting!!!
Hahahha @ “throw it away!”(the old rabbit ears atenna^^)
To those who found this antenna works, where did you put it — behind the tv, the way this guy seems to? I was sure it would need to be mounted outside. This works indoors??
I made one of these. But I later found that a store bought China made antenna performed much better and it cost me only $15. Then I wondered why I wasted my time making this coat hanger antenna.
I’m watching the Olympics in HD thanks to it!
4 medals today for Canada! Boo-ya!
This antenna works, but it is somewhat directional front/back, so its a good idea to find out where the TV transmitters are. Also the antenna works better the higher up it is. If you can relocate it to the attic the reception will improve.
There is a commercial version of this called the CM4221 but it also has a reflector grid. I’ve been able to pick up stations 27 miles away with 95% signal strength.
@Beasley564 I also said it was shit,I made another and it worked well after I moved it outside,I’ve since made another useing plexie glass in place of the board and stainless tig welding rod for the elements and mounted it on a 1/2 inch conduit hose clamped it to the roof pluming vent and you hardley notice it. I whent threw all this because it works well and I wanted it to last,it’s been up about a year. aiming it is every thing just a fraction is a BIG deal. Let me know if you try again DO IT
TOTALLY DOESN’T WORK. The local CTV channel broadcasts their HD signal on UHF 36. I spent several hours purchasing the materials and putting together the antenna, exactly as laid out in the video. Still getting snow on 36. And the other HD channel in Calgary, Global 41 comes in weak, keeps pixelating. What a waste of time and money. The $20 Jensen antenna I purchased recently, similar to the one in the video works much better. The Global signal is strong and doesn’t pixelate.
TOTALLY WORKS. Here are some pro tips to help.
1) Follow the instructions exactly. DO NOT modify or stray from them.
2) Remember to strip the coat hangers bare to the metal. If they don’t have the white coating like the ones in the video they probably still have a clear coating, a little sandpaper will take care of that.
3) Remember to try try again. Try pointing the front of the antenna at different directions to get better reception. REMEMBER do a channel search after you hook this baby up.
With just a cable TV cable antenna I get CTV HD. I can’t wait to see what else I get with this!!!
Thats cause you’re a shammy craftsman unlike babblins here
DID THE SAME NO TV ..SAD
THATS CABLE…
Awesome! Thanks! I like at 5:30, he throws the old antenna across the room while he says “Just throw it away”. I could just here a cat screech when he threw it….lol!
I have an analog to digital converter. No cable service. Update: I did a double re-scan with the antenna out the upstairs window and got four stations. Still no NBC for the Olympics. Hard to believe living so close to Baltimore. There is a hill behind my house. I’m guessing that blocks most signals? I “think” NBC is on the VHF. How do I increase my chances of getting digital VHF?
@geoffreysbaker Do you have a HD converter box? It is streamed online but only for cable tv customers.
Just made one of these, but used copper wire instead of hangers. I got 9 major channels in my area. THANKS!!
Crap!! Can’t watch Olympics either!! Don’t waste your time get an outdoor antennae.
I have a digital converter box to an analog TV. In searching the internet, I learned I have to do a double re-scan: power off for one minute, re-scan once without the antenna, once with. After trying that with the antenna out the second floor window I got four stations. No NBC for the olympics however. Cheapest cable is $40 per month so it’s no TV for me…..
I live nine miles from Baltimore, nine. Spent the afternoon making this antenna. Nada. Got nothing. Put it out the window on the second floor, nada. Moved it to the back of the house, nada. For me digital TV means no TV. I can’t watch the Olympics, it’s not streamed on line. Great. This is progress?
